In Taekwondo, you will learn many defensive techniques to keep yourself safe from various types of attacks such as punches, kicks, grabs and holds. There are so many possible scenarios that it makes perfecting any specific movement difficult. It takes concentration and constant practice to make a move work efficiently enough to be effective. Take away one of your most important senses, your sight, and you are making the job that much more difficult.

Poor Jason received few good hits there. Michael gives his hand and self defence techniques a higher priority in his practice due to his injuries. He is always the first to admit that his kicking and jumping abilities are limited by these injuries, but rather than dwell on something he can’t change, he has devoted a lot of time to another area of Taekwondo and made it one of his strongest.
