Do I need to buy a uniform?

Yes, you will need to purchase a club uniform through our store, starting from $75.00. Wearing an official taekwondo uniform not only signifies discipline and neatness, it’s also practical and designed with a purpose.

How do I book a class?

Via our Zen Planner booking system, where you can book and manage classes. Read How to use Zen Planner.

Do classes run during school holidays?

No classes will run in the last two weeks of December and the first week of January. We’re still offering classes during school holidays throughout the year, but ONLINE ONLY. Read more here about our holiday classes. We do not hold classes on public holidays.

Can I do online classes?

Yes, we offer online taekwondo classes at Power with Purpose. We try our best to offer the same level of teaching and quality training as with our in-person classes. Read more about our online classes here.

How does the payment structure work?

We take payment on a quarterly basis. If you start in the middle of a quarter, talk to us about the best way to make payment. Unfortunately, you cannot pause a payment due to holidays or illness, or ask for reduced payment if you join in the middle of a quarter. Again, talk to one of our friendly instructors if you have questions about payment.

How does grading work?

Our grading system recently changed to the Gup Promotion system, as used by Kukkiwon masters globally. Advancing to the next level belt or “Gup” depends on the student’s performance, as judged by our examiners. Read more here about our approach to Gup Promotion.

Can parents and kids train together?

Yes. At Power with Purpose, we don’t split classes into age groups. We take a personalised approach to training and believe in the value of young students learning from older, more experienced students in the same environment.

Can I get a refund for a class that I have missed?

Students must cancel lessons in advance. We do not give refunds for missed classes. Make-up classes are at the discretion of Power with Purpose Taekwondo. Talk to our team about make-up classes and how to arrange one. You must take any make-up classes within the term in which they occurred.

How much do classes cost?

An initial Membership fee of $90.00 per student for the first year. An annual membership fee of $65 per student applies each year after. Australian Taekwondo membership is transferable. A dishonour fee of $15 applies to all failed transactions. Individual classes cost $40 per class.
