Adam is a first dan black belt taekwondo instructor at Power with Purpose. A devoted husband and dad, Adam started training with his family and his passion for the art of taekwondo grew more every day.
“I watched from the sideline for many years while my wife and children trained in taekwondo. Once I joined, I quickly became addicted. So much so, that I built a Dojang in my garage. I participated in the fast-tracked program at Power with Purpose to achieve first dan black belt, which required a great deal of training. The rewards are worth it. I’m now training to become an instructor and furthering my tournament sparring skills.”
Adam appreciates the unique philosophy of Kukkiwon and Power with Purpose: to be powerful but learn to control this power. To truly have power with a purpose.
For Adam, the supportive atmosphere at Power with Purpose is perfect for learning the art of taekwondo. “The combined classes allow me to train side by side with my family, and that’s priceless.”
Outside of taekwondo, Adam enjoys practising powerlifting – the combination of bench press, squat and deadlift.
“My proudest moment in taekwondo is grading to first dan alongside my oldest son. In the words of instructor Michael Rahn: ‘The overwhelming joy and realisation of what you have just accomplished and who you did it with.’”
